1/3

the hypothesis today is, I wonder if HOD breaks are better later in the day, that is, not in the first 30min or whatever

the interesting one today is obviously AFI, which broke HOD technically early at 10am but only with selling volume, it didn't break with buying volume until 1220pm, after which point it broke HOD like 3-4 more times

AFI never broke PM high though, not by a lot, and in fact that makes me regret throwing a share on at the end of the day as a AH runner

but the thing to test from here on out is the break of HOD and back to the demand zone, if it's later in the day, that is, if there's a DZ to go back to...

based on my sample of 1 day though it looks like the idea is, PM breaks are more rare but result in bigger moves? and then HOD breaks are more common but the way to play them it by quick scalps

similarly, I wonder if the following idea would hold: if you break HOD early on, then it's quick scalp city, whereas, if you break HOD later, then that opens you up for a bigger move

you also need to be more careful about your risk units for these HOD breaks, you were thinking carefully about it for AFI but not so much for the other ones...

ok, see if in the future, if ... start with the candle that started the move and then ... the candle that started the move is represented by the bigger yellow box which was drawn on the 5min time frame, so wait until it gets halfway into the candle that started the move and then set the stoploss below the end of the demand zone
